Objectives:

Activities:
Budgeting Game: The class will be transformed into a lively simulation where students undertake the challenge of managing a budget amidst fluctuating scenarios, mimicking real-life financial situations.
Lesson Plan:
Dive deep into the essence of budgeting through an engaging game that simulates unexpected financial twists and turns. This interactive session aims to solidify students’ understanding of budgeting, emphasizing the unpredictability and the necessity of strategic planning in managing finances.
Worksheets:
Students will be equipped with “scenario cards,” each detailing a unique financial circumstance or challenge. These cards serve as the foundation for the budgeting exercises, compelling students to think critically and make strategic decisions based on their given situations.
Book List:
A reading session featuring “Sheep in a Shop” by Nancy Shaw will provide a lighthearted and relatable narrative on shopping and budgeting, effectively connecting with the theme of the week.
