Week 9: Introduction to Banking Operations
Activities:
Classroom Bank Setup: Create a simple classroom bank where students can engage in mock transactions such as depositing and withdrawing play money, learning about basic banking operations.
Discussion on Banking: Lead a discussion on the role of banks in the economy and the services they provide, including savings accounts, loans, and interest.
Lesson Plan:
Understanding Banking: Introduce students to the functions of banks, including deposit-taking, lending, and providing financial services.
Financial Literacy: Teach students about the importance of saving money, earning interest, and managing their finances responsibly.
Worksheets:
Bank Book Template: Provide a template for students to create their own bank books, where they can track deposits, withdrawals, and interest earned.
