Understanding “Nation” and building one, takes a lot, not only courage but also profound understanding and LOVE.
Once Sukhdev pulled-leg of Bhagat Singh and quipped that Bhagat Singh has started fearing “Death” because of ‘that girl’. The incident is that one ‘girl’ fell in love with Bhagat Singh and joined him in Freedom Struggle. Bhagat Singh also responded to her with love.
Bhagat Singh also loved Gulab-Jamun a lot, of-course hot Gulab-Jamun.
In his ‘famous’ letter to Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh writes –
“…. Again do I emphasize that I am full of ambition and hope and of full charm of life. But I can renounce all at the time of need, and that is the real sacrifice. These things can never be hindrances in the way of man … whether love ever proved helpful to any man. Yes …”
