After stricter rules introduced in 2023 saw low uptake, the education department issued a revised resolution (19 July 2025) with certain relaxations and reopened the process — aiming to bring the state’s large pool of unregistered preschools into the system, in line with NEP 2020.

- New-preschool registration applications run online with a non-refundable fee of ₹10,000.
- Certificates are issued on the institution’s self-declaration — so reviewing the prescribed norms carefully before applying matters.
- The framework is explicitly aligned to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
