Songs for the day:
Today is the first day of preschool we will choose a simple song.
Song: “Hello, Hello, How Are You?”
Verse 1:
Hello, hello, how are you?
It’s so good to see you here today.
We’ll sing and dance and learn and play,
On this wonderful first day.
Chorus:
Hello, hello, how are you?
It’s so good to see you here today.
We’ll make new friends and have some fun,
On this wonderful first day.
Verse 2:
We’ll learn our colors and ABCs,
Counting, shapes, and more you’ll see.
We’ll use our hands and our imagination,
And create some great creations.
Chorus:
Hello, hello, how are you?
It’s so good to see you here today.
We’ll make new friends and have some fun,
On this wonderful first day.
Verse 3:
So let’s get started, come on in,
And let the learning now begin.
We’ll have a blast and laugh out loud,
And make this first day something to be proud.
Chorus:
Hello, hello, how are you?
It’s so good to see you here today.
We’ll make new friends and have some fun,
On this wonderful first day.
Tip for the teacher/caregiver – Add some simple actions to the song, such as waving hello, clapping, or pointing to different parts of the body or objects around the classroom. The goal is to make the children feel welcomed, excited, and ready to start their first day of preschool.
