Materials required: None
Begin by gathering the children and explaining that you will explore the fun room together.
Encourage the children to look closely at the room’s toys, display materials, and books. Explain that they can touch and play with the toys but should be respectful and share with their friends.
As you move around the room, point out different toys, display materials, and books. Say the name of each item and ask the children to repeat it after you.
Encourage the children to ask questions about the items in the room, such as “What is this used for?” or “Can I play with this?”
As you go along, point out the name tags for each item and explain that they help the children know what the item is called and who it belongs to.
To reinforce the names of the toys, display materials, and books, provide each child with a worksheet with pictures of the items in the room. Ask the children to write or draw the name of each item next to its picture. – See these worksheets here
